Entertainment cabinetry
Utilizing an existing drywall alcove, we designed a center cabinet to enclose the TV, components, and speakers.  The narrow doors on each side of the TV pull out for DVD and CD storage.  The curved arch and keystone above are approximately 8 feet, 10 inches from the floor, and rest on 8-inch wide fluted half-columns with "Temple of the Winds" capitals. The entertainment cabinetry is finished to match the existing kitchen cabinetry, a portion of which is just visible to the left of the doorway.  We also constructed and installed matching wainscoting, fluted molding, and corbels just below the bar countertop (shown below).

Some of the other features of this cabinetry are:
  • Solid maple raised panel doors with mitered corners
  • Wood framed doors with speaker cloth inserts (supplied by customer) for speakers
  • Frameless style cabinets with concealed Blum® European hinges
  • All adjustable shelving behind doors
  • Moldings in solid maple and MDF: furniture base, TV frame enclosure,and detail moldings
  • Pull-outs either side of TV enclosure for DVD and CD storage
