Once a contemporary kitchen with oak trimmed mica laminate flat panel doors, these existing cabinets live a second life with solid maple door and drawer fronts.  A new wine cooler and a small section of new cabinetry was added to increase storage  and add function to an odd-shaped space.  Washed in a soft cream color, the warmth of wood and a clean transitional style create a friendly and inviting kitchen.
 
Kitchen Photo #5 The exposed cabinetry was covered in a  mica laminate that matched the wood door and drawer fronts, and the cabinet boxes had the existing banding replaced with matching PVC edge-banding.  Finished end panels were added to the exposed base cabinet ends, and a radiused open display shelf was made and installed for the upper cabinet run.  New light panels were added to the existing light fixtures, as well as new matching maple end caps and trim strips.  Ths knobs are crackled ceramic globes by Amerock in a light cream finish.  The owner added a solid surface countertop in a granite look that complements the cabinetry.

  • Custom corner base cabinet to utilize dead space
