A kitchen alcove is the perfect space to incorporate bar cabinetry.  This custom cabinetry features wine storage on each side, framed upper doors with open display, granite countertop   
 
The exposed cabinetry was covered in a  mica laminate that matched the wood door and drawer fronts, and the cabinet boxes had the existing banding replaced with matching PVC edge-banding.  Finished end panels were added to the exposed base cabinet ends, and a radiused open display shelf was made and installed for the upper cabinet run.  New light panels were added to the existing light fixtures, as well as new matching maple end caps and trim strips.  Ths knobs are crackled ceramic globes by Amerock in a light cream finish.  The owner added a solid surface countertop in a granite look that complements the cabinetry.   • Custom corner base cabinet to utilize dead space
